Lift Master cost and install

Hi Folks! Going to have a local garage door company this coming week to give me a price to have them install a 8500 Lift Master. Before he gets here, anyone recently have one installed and a ball park on an estimate. Thanks.

I'd DIY it. I've done two in my shop. Takes maybe an hour.

I have a quote for an 18' door and a lift for $1700. I seem to recall them saying the opener was $450ish but I can't recall the model. This would have included the installation.

Yes the opener would cost something... I purchased both mine here...

I just installed 2 8500W’s on our new garage doors. Had a door company install the new doors and I installed the openers.

Easy diy and you can take your time and hide wires etc. A door company doesn’t have the time to do as neat a job, time is money.

About $480 each.

Get the W model.
