Lift oil drains/extractors

Been thinking about buying a oil drain for using under my lift, was originally looking at something like the Harbor Freight 20 gallon. But have ran across a couple of them with a built on extractor tank and also the rough neck brand from northern tool were the main tank can either be used as a normal drain or a extractor tank.
Curios as to what others use and prefer for drains?

I've been using the cheap $60 Harbor Freight one that you manually dump when full. I only do about 8 oil changes a year using it.

I have more questions than answers.
This is what I bought. Haven't used it much yet. I wanted the extra tank to **** out manual transmissions, tcases, diffs, ps reservoirs, etc. The extra hoses make it easier.

I have several of the harbor freight 20g ones, and a separate John Dow 17g evacuator... but I run a commercial shop.
The drains get emptied 1-2 a week, we have the ones with the shop air port/regulator and hose that we hook up to our storage tank for use in a waste oil heater.

Is that a current ad from eBay, I can’t seem to locate that one?

No. That is from the bidding when I bought mine late summer. I was hoping the vendor name would be there. I had been watching for several months and bid a couple different times. For some reason I think nobody was paying attention and picked it up reasonable. They did blow me off when I sent a picture of the gauge being bad. With what I paid I let it go. If you find it in auction keep watching for a price you are happy with.

Edit: just checked eBay and couldn't find any. Went back and found the invoice and vendor, went through all of their items for sell and didn't see any. Seemed like multiple vendors where selling when I was looking. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Maybe keep an eye out??

buddy just built one using a 15.5 gallon beer keg. some casters from hf and a ball valve in the top to pressurize the tank to drain it. came out slick and much better built than what you can buy

Side question is where would you take said drain tank to unload the waste - stores around here limit you to maybe 2~3 gallon containers and won't take anything but oil. No trans fluid and such. Why bugs are not eating our wood fence and I don't have to weed eat back there very often LOL.

It's free to bring used oil to the recycling station at the dump in NC.

I was going to order one and wanted it right now. Worked well enough I never replaced it. Made it fit its storage area. I dump a couple changes in the bucket then carry out to the barrel. The screen hanging there resides over it.

If $ isn't an issue Raasm and Liquidynamics have a few different types. I really like their models with parallelogram trays on top that fold down to ground level. They're a bit pricey but I've used some that were north of 20 years old with no issues.

Buy once, cry once, right? Wish I could afford one for the lift I use at another location but currently that's a rare need. Someday...

Couldn't you make one from an old compressor tank and a couple of valves? Only part i haven't nailed down yet is what to make the catch basin from?
