Hi all,

In the distant future I will install a lift (2 post).

We are wrapping up the prep for the foundation and I would like to have foooting poured in the general vicinity of where the posts will be.

Does anyone have any guidance as to width of lift posts (in general) as well a general guidlines for footing dimensions for these?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Footings are not necessary.

The spec for most 2 post lifts is a minimum of 4 inches of reinforced 3500PSI concrete. I believe most guys around here recommend a little thicker slab just to play it safe (5-6 inches).

Just make sure you give the concrete guys your spec when collecting bids.

Good luck and enjoy the lift

Certainly an idea I should have thought of!

Sounds like we should be just fine with the slab we are pouring. We designed to accomodate a loaded semi, concrete truck, etc should we ever need to pull one through.
