I am posting this here instead of the electrical section as there are an awful lot of lift installs posted here.

This is the diagram:

I am used to L1 and L2 as the two hot 220/240V legs. On this diagram, there is an L an a N. I think it is maybe a diagram of a 220V Hot to Neutral electrical system from Asia and Europe....maybe.

It looks like my lift switch is on the right side top switching the L side of the power coming in. The rectangular symbol underneath it I am not sure about. Is it a fuse or fusable link? If so, it should be already inside the box.

I also need to wire in my height limit switch. I have a wire coming to the box with a 2 wire lead from the limit switch. Does that just get wired between the lift switch and the fuse (if that what it is).

The instructions are completely vague...

Thanks for your help...I cannot be the first one to encounter this type of documentation...!

Cheers!

The rectangle is the contactor coil, A1 and A2 are the terminals on the contactor that the control circuit (with the button and limit switch in series) goes to.

L and N are Asian identifiers, replace them with L1 and L2 respectively and all will work as planned.

Thanks man!

It makes sense now, this is a low voltage switching circuit...motor controller or relay as some call it.

Wires on the limit switch are kind of small for 20 amp...makes sense as it is probably 24V.

I saw that they sell a 24V control set up for this lift.
