Hey all, my wife and I are planning on building a log home. I have a tractor to get the pallets off the truck with but during the build process I'm going to need a lift to put the logs on for the roof. I've seen lifts like this move cast iron stoves to second floors, I don't need anything this heavy, maybe a 300-500lbs rated one for indoors. Anyone see/hear of lifts like this? They're for indoors.

Genie lifts are something you should look at. Used a lot by HVAC contractors in commercial installs. Most small pallet jack type lifts will not get as high as you need for roof logs.

That's what I was looking for, expensive little buggers. Maybe I should rent a contractor fork lift? I think they guy down the road rents them out for $170 a day.

Genie lifts work exceptionally well for stuff like that. I have seen contractors use a crane to lift the logs for log homes as well as to lift trusses for larger homes, but that would be even more expensive than the Genie lift.
