I have a 24x24 garage sitting on a 4" floating slab. I want to lift it it as soon as we get warm weather. I've used the search and haven't came up with much. Can you guys post some links and pics? It currently has 8ft stick built sidewalls, I'd like to lay 3 course of block on top of the pad to get 10ft walls. I will be adding a 40x40 addition onto the back of the current shop down the road. When I add the addition, I want to blow out the back wall of the current shop to have free floor space to the new one. Btw the wall I speak of is a gable end. I'm curious how you guys braced and lifted your shops. Thanks

House / garage lifting amazes me, and get me to thinking about my crawlspace.

I lifted a house to replace floor joists and sill, but don't have pics. I just built some temp cripple walls for bracing, and used little Chinese bottle jacks until I could get under it with scissor jacks salvaged from a few junkyard cars. the jacks are narrow enough to fit inside the wall with 2x4 cripples added between the studs. lift, brace, lift, brace, repeat.

well I found a couple pics to get the idea...I had to go up a good 6".

OutlanderI love the pic lmao! My username is godzilla, because thats what I called my first fj40 landcruiser I owned. Thanks for the link. It gave me alot of good ideas. I really like the use of lam beams for lifting. I could reuse them for my garage door headers.
