Lifting a taller truck with twin post

So ran into a little issue while trying to lift my F350 dually 4x4 today.

The front arms hit the running boards before they contact the frame, even with the 4" extension pins on them. I had to use a wood block (don't worry, I was only lifting high enough to take a tire off).

What do you all do when confronted with a similar situation? Do I need to order extra long extensions? I see there are many styles available, include stackable sets. Safe homemade alternatives?:headscrat

I cut 2 solid 12in risers on the lathe at work for the rear. You will also need a skinny frame adapter to fit next to the gas tank.
