Have any of you ever used them? We just got set up with a company that specializes in lifting magnets and I am looking for some different fields of use for them. I would imagine if any of you work in big steel factories you probably know what they are. These are pretty heavy duty. Basically wondering what you guys use them for. Here is their site.

We use one to get ahold of any sort of steel plate.
Also like to tell the new guys to file the bottom when they're done

We use a lot of smaller lifting magnets for our sheetmetal rollformers, auto loading. They are circular red magnets with neodymium magnets inside, pneumatic release. They are damn strong for small magnets

I personally have not, but I always make sure to grab the neodymium magnets out of old HDD's, and those are incredible.

What line of work should I be targeting? The ones that are coming out Wylaco has an online exclusive for this product so far. In other words I want to find a target audience.

I work for a waste water treatment plant. We've got a couple of them floating around to take the huge manhole covers off with. Works pretty good and is way easier than trying to pry them off with a hook.

I work all over Colorado and Wyoming and sometimes see city guys using these to remove/replace manhole covers. They are usually attached to a small two wheeled cart.

I Have used these at work on larger manhole covers. Makes it a 1 man job without the danger of getting hands crushed. Nice easy lift,!!!

I use the tiny ones to attach tin metal signs on my metal cabinets and refrigerator in the garage.
Adding hooks on the magnets and I can use then to hang stuff like shop aprons, things with lanyards, and task head lights.

I have a very bad habit of getting into a project and asking myself

"how could I incorporate some neo magnets into this" hahaha.

Seriously, I love these things. So many uses.

Thanks for the replies everyone that helps. The ones we have are going to be big, like 500-1000 pound lifting capacity. Looks like metal shops, waste water, infrastructure is the way to go.
