I'm in my weekend getaway.....2 Ton Suv. Have 1 1/2 ton Jack on Hand....+ Good Jackstands
Dare I try to lift the front a smidge, just heigh enough for slip in some jackstands for a Oil Change.

I would normally default to a higher rated jack - which I don't have on deck right now.

The whole vehicle weighs 2 tons? Probably too close to the weight limit of the jack for me to recommend. Why not grab some drive on ramps or make some from 2x6?

It's also a HF 1 1/2 ton....which I'm slightly squeamish about ;- / > It's their all aluminum Brunnhoezel style one.

If it lifts it, great (it will).

If it doesn't, the jack is undersized or worn out.

Never work under anything supported by just a jack.
