Time for a new opener and I was curious how much space is needed to run a 3800? There isn't a lot of room between the wall and the garage door rails and its hard to tell from pictures how much space is needed. I tried to search but didn't find what I was looking for

Page 3 of the manual:
http://www.liftmaster.com/consumerweb/pdfdocs/114A3489.pdf

Important number is 8" between the end of the torsion bar and the wall. Actually, as long as there is 8" between the torsion bearing plate and the wall you should be good.

I've got 4 of the 3800's now, all work great and install is easy other than running all the wires for buttons etc.

Thanks... When I searched I didn't see the online manual. I don't think I have 8" of
space but I will have to double check.
