I installed 2 liftmaster 3800's about a month ago. The both function fine, however I am having an issue with one of the remote lights. The light comes on when the door opens, turns off after 4 minutes or so, and functions fine when the door closes. However if the door is open and I walk through the door and 'break' the safety sensor beam, the light will not turn on. Any ideas?

Thanks
Rich

On my Craftsman this is programmable. You may want to check to see if the same is true for your Liftmaster.

My LM 3800 sometimes the light doesn't go off and you can't get the switch to turn it off. You have to run the door up and down, then you can get it to go off. Seems like they may have software bugs.

Same here...I didn't realize cycling the door would get it - I've been going up a ladder to unplug it and plug it back in. Good to know. That "light staying on" thing has only happened to me three or four times in the last year and hasn't happened in a while.
