This past weekend I replaced all the garage doors, the door openers and the existing rails in my 3-bay house garage.
The rails were replaced with a high lift setup; the new doors are 9 x 7 Mid America Vantage Series; the door openers were Liftmaster 8500 jackshaft openers.
I'll start another thread soon regarding the installation of these items and their associated accessories (example: internet gateway) but for now I have a question regarding the Liftmaster 380LM Remote Light that came with the opener.
The 380LM Remote Light is an interesting device.
In addition to being turned on by the opening of the garage door, the 380LM can "learn" to be turned on by multiple devices (example: the 895MAX 3-button remote control). All of this is done wirelessly.
My problem is that some of my 380LM remote lights have "learned" to come on when another garage door is opened. Example: when I open Door #1, Remote Light #1 & Remote Light #3 come on. Harmless but it looks stupid.
There is a "Learn" button on the 380LM Remote Light that one pushes until a LED light illuminates and then it is in the "Learn" mode. Activating a garage door then "teaches" the 380LM Remote Light to turn on when that door is opened. I think a couple of my 380LM Remote Lights have inadvertently "learned" to turn on from multiple garage door openers.
I've been searching the Liftmaster site and the internet looking for a way to "clear" the codes from my 380LM Remote Lights so I can start over with the "Learning" process. I have been unable to find any information on clearing the Remote Light.
Does anyone here know how to clear the 380LM Remote Light?
