Since the remote controls really **** on all 3 of my openers for these openers....
I'm interested in a phone/wifi based operation. A few things...
I don't have, won't have a siri type thing in my house or shop!
It seems that a lot of what I'm seeing available say that they're compatible with these talk to devices BUT don't clearly say it's required.
My cable entrance is in the shop and their modem/wifi is as well, in fact all 3 are "line of sight" to it about 6', 22' and 50' in distances.
Then there's the actual operating from a cellphone, I guess that you need the app and have to open it up then it's just a glorified button?
Lastly, I'm basically a Fred flintstone when it comes to this stuff including the language/terms.
Any experience with these out there? Using a remote control is what I'd like to do but they have a little BS 12' wire for the antenna and the building has a metal exterior and never have operated well. Operating them is like the old cellphone days where you have to hold your mouth just right while waving your arm around looking for a signal. 😆

They just don't work every time, sometimes repositioning where I am outside in relation to the door seems to matter.
I thought that I previously asked here (years ago) if I could add to the antenna wire and was advised that it wasn't that simple.
This time of the year (cold) it's nice to have a remote control to limit the length of time the door is open. In the summer there stay open all day.
I'd be happy to drill a hole through the wall a make a little extension, if it will work. 👍

Liftmaster MyQ is wifi/internet control. MyQ is a phone app. What I read is it can handle up to 3 openers but you will need to purchase 2 additional door sensors.
Now.. elsewhere I read 2 openers. ???
