Hey Just had a Liftmaster 8500 jackshaft installed and it has a wireless light kit included. This illuminates when the garage door is opened.

I had 13 48" lights installed on a single switch. Is there a way to activate 1 of these when the light kit activates?

I was thinking with the 13 lights daisy chained, if a wire ran to the last light it would activate that, without turning on every other light past it. Thanks!

That Liftmaster has two sockets, put an incandescent lamp in one, and a Edison base to plug-in adapter in the other one, and plug your closest light into that.

My Liftmaster instructions said to NOT use an LED bulb, in the Liftmaster wireless controlled light, as the wireless won't work properly.

If your lights are all controlled by the one switch, they'll all turn on when you power any single one on. Or, are you saying you'll disconnect it from the chain?

I have three of those Liftmaster lights. They are all temperamental. I have disconnected two of them. I still use one, but even that one sometimes acts weird.

I would not recommend using yours in the manner you describe. I think it will just be a headache for you.
