Liftmaster 8500 light turns on by motion?

It seems that the light that is included with the 8500 comes on by motion. Is it possible to program it so it only comes on when the door opens or closes, then times out and shuts off like most normal garage opener lights?

I don't know the answer, but I have called Liftmaster technical support before and they have been very helpful. I'm guessing a quick call to them will give you what you need.
