I have two 8500's for the doors on my shop. Most of the time I have the wall controls in the "locked" position so that they will not operate remotely. Yesterday I unlocked them so I could move some equipment in the shop through the doors, I then left the controls unlocked. Last night I walked out of the shop and noticed the door on one side of the building was open! This is very strange because no remotes were in use, (I confirmed this) the only explanation I can think of is that I was using a Heli Arc welder in the shop (not high frequency setting) This happened once before, has anyone else experienced this with their operator?
I now make sure the control panel is locked which is a hassle if I want to leave and drive in the shop without getting out of the car and unlocking the Man door to enter the shop to unlock the control panel.
