Hello everyone.

I hope this will be a quick question. Looking to get a door opener.

Can I stop the Liftmaster 8500 at a certain point when I'm either opening or closing the door? I usually only open my door part of the way when I'm inside working. Sometimes I only leave it open about 4 feet. Can the 8500 be stopped at any given point and the door will stay at that position?

Thanks

I downloaded the pdf manual and read through it but didn't see it state you could anywhere. But every opener I've ever owned (6)you could double tap any remote twice and it would stop either when going up or down. I doubt they would have stopped this for any reason.
