Has anyone ever successfully connected one of their internet gateways ? I cannot seem to get it to work with my 8500. After pressing the learn button I can see that the gateway is in learn mode and the blue light flashes on it. It goes out along with the learn light on my control panel. But the device never shows up on my account nor does the blue light stay on.

I've got that exact setup (gateway + 8500), just followed the instructions and it worked straight away.

Have you called tech support? A few customers have the gateway over 300' away and it works fine with their gate opener. I've never personally used but that customer showed it all to me. Pretty neat

Same here. Piece of cake to install.

Sounds like you haven't programmed it correctly:

"The BLUE LED indicates the LiftMaster® Internet Gateway has programmed at least one device like a garage door opener, gate operator, or other MyQ® enabled product. The blue LED does not indicate if devices are connected; it only indicates that the Internet Gateway has “programmed” one device to its memory."

My first one had the same issue and after a call to tech support it was deemed defective and replaced.

I got it working! Thanks for the suggestions. Although the gateway shows a solid green light that it has an Internet connection, it wasn't actually connected. I tried both my router and a wireless extender but neither worked. I ended up plugging in to the Ethernet connection on the back of my DVR. It literally took a min to set this thing up. I knew it was something silly.
