My Bend-Pak PL-6SP single post...

I am curently tring to see if I can get one of these to fit in my garage...

I have a Mustang that sits at about 54" and a Truck thats at 63" with out the engine in it... and celings that are at 124 inches.... I'm wondering if you know how much you have to raise the lift to un-lock it.. and the thickness of center section that the upper car sits on....I'm very close, but It may not fit.. I would hate to have a 3K shelf!

If I put the truck on the bottom and go by there locking positions 41,45,49,53,57,61,65,69 ( I'm asuming this is to the bottom of the ramp to the floor) and use the 65 position then factor ~5 inches for the ramp thickness, then 3.5 inches for the lower floor support, and 54 for the Mustang, and 2 inches for safty locks I'm at ~129 so if thats all right... I'm  but If the truck drops an inch with the engine in it, and the ramp thickness is thinner, I may have some luck?

Thanks for your input.

Brian

I just bought a Rotary SPOA10. It is a 2 post asymetrical lift and has a 10000 lb capacity (not that I would ever use that much.) It cost in the $3100 range. I wanted something real safe and I really don't mind paying a bit more for known quality and safety.

hmmm.... that or I guess I can cut a section out of the celing in the shape of my truck cab, and raise it up, but that might look funky?

The ramp thickness on the single post lift varies from 2" at the ends to ~8" in the middle, so figure ~4" where the tires actually sit. It only needs to go up about an inch to unlock it. The ramp over the support footer is 3 1/2" tall.

You might be able to get away with it if you throw a set of coil overs on the Mustang (-2") and an air bag system on the truck (-6") :pimpflash

I'm looking for a 4 post lift. If price is not a issue whats the BEST lift out there ? I have a 12 ft ceiling and I will be using it for my 3 cars a C 5 Corvette Vert, 70 Hemi Cuda (clone darn it) 06 Z06 . (The only thing the Z06 dosen't do is hover)
