Light controlled low amperage switch

I want to have some very low amperage party lights come on when it starts to get dark and off in the morning, a quasi security light.
A simple device that plugs into an existing outlet but switched by ambient light is what I think I want. It's outdoors but very well protected from rain and on a GFCI circuit.
Another option would be an in-line switch sensing ambient light.
Timers is another option not very fond of. Trying to avoid any Google/Alexa intrusion (bad enough my phone is tracking me, not my house too).
I have tried searching and not knowing the right terms I am not getting any results. Maybe what I want doesn't exist.

Search for a "photocell timer". Woods makes some that look good.

Even though they have timing functions, which you don't want, they have a mode you can turn to that just runs off of the photocell for dusk-to-dawn operation.
