Light socket controlled by timer

I have a chicken room and I have wired a light fixture. Chicks need a certain amount of light for maximum egg production. I am looking for, without much success, a timer to fit in between the bulb and the socket. I find some that are dusk to dawn but that won't work because the chick room is part of shop and not in direct sunlight. Does anyone know of such a timer?

Not going to find such a beast, wire a time switch to control the lights.

How does the light turn on,if by a switch you can put a timer in,if it's just an outlet your cheapest option is a plug in timer like you would use for Christmas lights

If you have wifi available, you could use a network bulb like Wemo:

But I would rather be able to use regular bulbs, so personally, I use the Wemo switch to control all my low voltage landscape lighting. I have it set to go on at dusk and off at sunrise. It just uses your location to know what those times are.

Not the cheapest, but it works really well.

No such thing that I know of to screw between the socket and bulb.
