So many posts about so many different installations, all with a different set of specs, and all looking for answers. So no wonder I'm confused.

I have a condo with and unfinished, attached garage. 22x22 so it's smaller than the one I had at my previous house. Plan is to insulate and drywall the interior, and install lighting. So I then decided that, other than specific task lighting I would like a 4100K light to an even level throughout. No dark areas and dead zones. I'd prefer flush mount tube lights or recessed cans.

So far here are the options I see discussed, and a list from which I need to choose:

1. 6-8 new 48" T-8 Fluorescents (2 tubes) $30-50 per fixture
2. 6-8 48" used T-8 fixtures with direct wire T-8 LED replacement tubes. $30-50 per fixture including tubes
3. New 48" LED fixtures $50-75 per fixture
4. Crapton of 6" IC recessed fixtures with 75w Halogen PAR30 $30-and up per fixture. (lot of juice)
5. Same crapton of recessed fixtures with PAR30 LED replacement bulbs $40-and up per fixture (more effecient)

Ceiling is 8.5 feet and I want it well lit, but I will not be needing professional or industrial light levels. Trouble lights are available if I need them.

What do all of you think?
