Lighter or Darker floor?

Which looks better in between cleanings as I am about to do mine. I have antique white walls with a concrete strip below drywall that has a clay color paint on it, but I can paint over that with the garage floor color. Dont know if I should go withw lighter color or darker for the floor. Bob

Darker colors generally show dirt and dust moreso than lighter colors.

Ive got a racedeck floor. It consists of light and dark grey tiles.

If my shoes are dusty, and I walk across the floor, I can see my prints on the darker tiles but not as much on the lighter color.

I think a lighter color floor reflects light much better, shows dust and dirt a little less and makes finding dropped small parts much easier to find. Mine is white and I love it.

Go with the lighter for the light reflection like Wardrum said. As for looking clean, I have a black truck and it is a lot harder to keep looking clean than my wife's silver Honda.

You won't be able to find small parts with flakes. I hate flake floors when your being a real mechanic.

I'm not a "real" mechanic in that I just twist nuts on nights and weekends, but in my experience a light broadcast of flakes hasn't been a big problem. Without a doubt it can make it a bit more difficult to see really small parts, but generally using a strong drop light will make the part pop out. But then there was that one time, with that tiny snap ring...

I put the high gloss clear finish over the floor on Thursday...

I purchased a product called Flexi-Tiles. The stuff is awesome, looks good and it makes my car look good sitting on it. I used Black and Dark Grey. My friend did his garage Dark Grey and White and he is always cleaning the white tiles to make them look good.

I agree, you can use the ligher for the reflection..

Flakes don't make it any harder to find stuff, when I drop something and I didn't see where it went, when looking for it, It pops right out.

What's the low down on price? And which chip color did you go with? Looks like the Tan Mix - Brown/Tan/White, or the Sand Mix - Light Gray/White/Sand. I assume the other colors are for their gray paint.

Also, it say "high solids" but how high is high?
