I have an additional bay on my shop that is single car wide and 54' long. I have 2 lifts in it. I need to put some lighting in it. I have high bay leds, but it is less than perfect. It is great until I have a car on each lift. How is everyone lighting the areas around their car lifts?

While not in a narrow bay like that I am curious to see what others are doing around there lifts as well as I am going to redo all the lighting in my back shed where my lift is located.

I have not installed a lift yet, but I put all of the lights to the side of the bays or in between the bays. Then plan to use task lighting as needed.

There are some good layouts in the Best light fixture thread on GJ. Lights along the side of the vehicle seem to be predominant. Very bright ceiling lights seem - to me - to be an issue. My eyes adjust to the bright garage and when I walk under the car its a blackout.

But task lighting is very useful. Wheel wells seem to be black holes without good task lighting.

I just bought this Milwaukee M12 21216-20 magnetic light for work under the lift. I also have a headband light, several types of LED trouble lights, magnetic lights etc.
