i have a 22x24 8ft wall garage. heres my problem.....in order to keep 8 foot clearance to the bottom of my heater, it will have to go up past the top of the wall, even with the ceiling joists. so do i leave the lights where they are in the picture, and put the heater and ceiling above them. or do i move everything up and hope the shadows arent too bad from the ceiling joists. hope this makes sense, and thanks in advance.

I think the shadows would be awful.
Do you need 8ft clearance everywhere? How big is the heater? I would think you could stick it in a corner or along a wall and it wouldn't matter.

^ I'm with Cruisinga... if you are able to do so keep the lighting as is and corner mount your heater if possible. It'll save you a lot of headache I think.

That's probably what i will have to do. I will just have the heater mounted higher than the lights, like in the picture
.
