Looking to add ceiling lights to my small basement/storage area under my house that is 6 feet high. The area is roughly 12x20. I need to duck when I am in there so I am looking for some flush mount lights that (a) will be as low profile as possible and (b) not blind me given that I'll be at eye level with the fixtures.

I'd go with standard retrofit recessed round fixtures, either for standard bulbs, or with built in LED.

Cut a round hole in the ceiling, run your wires and then shove the fixtures in.

In your situation its best to put an led disc light in such as a Halo lighting SLD fixture. Alot of companies make them if you do a search online you will find a ton.

The Costco LED 4' shop fixture if flush mount is less than TWO INCHES and my local store price is now $24.99. Yes if mount to ceiling less than 2''.

Cans or flush mount fixtures would be my vote, anything protruding from a 6' ceiling will be a head knocker.

Being 6' tall, six foot ceiling height will be a bump hazard area.
