Looking to upgrade the lighting in my 35x25x11 garage. It will mostly be used just for storage, the only real work to be done is polishing cars every once in a while. Right now it is just simply too dark and needs to change, so I figured if I'm changing it might as well do it right.

Right now my easy idea would be to put linear LED lights in the spot of the existing fixtures. I was thinking either a 4 foot 2 bulb fixture or an 8 foot 4 bulb fixture. Let me know if you guys think the 4 foot would be enough, or if it is better to go with the 8 foot. I'd also be switching the garage door bulbs to whatever color temp the main lights are, but I'm not planning on them providing any significant light.

What I've got so far.
Bulbs - 4ft LED T8 - 2050 Lumens - 5000K - 16W - Ballast Bypass - Single End Wiring (Case Of 25)
Fixtures - 4 Foot 2 Bulb, 8 foot 4 bulb
Anything else I need? Of course open to better options.

6 of the 4’ twin bulb LED will substantially improve lighting over the 6 can lights. I’d say twice as much light, maybe more since the cans might be 2000 lumens. Plenty for a garage, but if you want to do automotive or wood work or detail cars, obviously the 8 footers would provide about twice as much light.
