Lighting for new garage

I am building a new 3-car garage. It is nearing completion and I want to take my time to dry wall and insulate it over the course of the winter. To do this I need to get lights installed now. I have roughed wiring in for 7 fuorescent fixtures and need help finding a suitable fixture that I can install permanently now, and dry wall around them. My rafters are 12" oc. Is anyone aware of a decent fixture that I can mount between the rafters, drywall around them, and then install a trim around the cut drywall to clean up the look?

Thanks, Steve

lowes and home depot each have a 1ftx4ft troffer fixture that sells for about $50. it uses two T8 bulbs. It will slip in the space provided, mate with the drywall, and has a translucent lense.

I was going to use these but too expenses when i added up the number of fixtures i need. In stead i will use surface mount 8 ft long fixtures which use 4 T8 bulbs. These sell for $50 at the same places.

Good post Steve. I'm trying to get mine weather tight before it snows, so I can finish it off inside this winter also.

I have 2 bays done in scissor trusses to create extra ceiling height. I've been wondering what I can do for lighting that will mount pretty much flush, so I don't give back any of that ceiling height.
