Lighting Gurus Chime In

I am costing my different lighting options now, and would like to know how well, the Lowes Metalux 8' fluorescent strip lights would work in my shop. My dimensions are 36' x 60' with a 14' eave. If I mounted the lights to the underside of the purlins, they would probably sit so more than 12' to 13' off the floor. The layout of the lights is still up in the air and is dependent on the number of lights needed. The link to the lights I am asking about is below.

I am sure the lack of reflectors will affect performance, but how much?

that's pretty high, plus poor reflectivity, due to the lights and the void above...

figure 1.5 W/ft^2 or 3240 W/128W per fixture ~ 24 fixtures...
I'd do 4 rows of 5...maybe 6
each row ~9' fixture to fixture, 4.5 to each wall = 36'
fixtures, 4' end to end, 2 ft to wall = 5 x 8 + 4 x 4 + 2 x 2 ~60'

I used these lights in a similar pattern and configuration. You'll probably need to call ahead to see if Lowes has all the lights you need in stock. You might need to visit 2 or 3 stores to find them all. Also, check the lights out before you buy them. I had several boxes miss labeled. I hate taking things back unnecessarily.
