I am looking to add lighting to my attached garage and wanted to see if I could get suggestions on the best layout. My garage is 24w x 26l I have 10 ft ceilings but there is a wooden carrier beam that drops 1 1/2 ft and runs across the width of my garage. I will have sheetrock on the walls and ceiling. My work area is across the back wall attached to the house.
I'm not sure of the best way to layout the lights as I'm thinking the beam may block some of the light if they are positioned too close. I was thinking of running 3 across the back wall running left to right and the same near the garage doors. Then 4 across the back side of the beam running front to back and the same on the front side of the beam for a total of 14 two light fixtures.
Or 4 square of lights for a total of 16.
I was also thinking of using the following lights that were listed in platonic's best light sticky but I am open for suggestions. I'm trying to keep it around $500 but could go higher if needed.
Thank you for any suggestions.
