I'm looking for suggestions on putting lights in a 50x56x14 pole barn. What type, how many, what brand, etc. The trusses run on the 50 foot side if this helps on spacing the lights.

Mine's 50x60 steel. 12' high at the sides and 14 in the center. I'm doing 24 of the 8' T8 fixtures (4 4' tubes). I have 6 installed in the first half so far and it's nice. When I finally get all of them it will be PLENTY bright I think.

I have a 72 by 40 pole barn with no ceiling that I hope to lights into before winter. Terry1769, can you give me ball park on the per unit costs of the 4 4' tube units you are putting in?

Buying them from Home Depot. The fixtures are between $45 and $50 each. Tubes are extra and I ordered them from 1000bulbs.com

Seems like a pretty decent light and you can order them with bulbs for a reasonable additional price.

I had put in 12 T-5's in my 40' x 50' metal building. They're great!!
