I'm going to put some foam board insulation in the garage door, and thinking about putting some low profile led lights in the boards.
I'm looking at the below or similar, 1 inch thick, 7 inch diameter, $13 each. Plan would be 4-6 of them, wired in series, on a plug. There's an outlet at the garage door opener.
I would plan on calling superbrightleds or get input here on if there are units designed to be daisy chained, or if they have an opinion on being in an east facing garage door in Houston (plan on hitting 120 in the summer, but can lights in the attic seem happy over 140).
Primary use would be nights with the door open for a breeze. Ideally I put same number of lights in the ceiling where they get covered by the open door, and when the door is closed I could have side lights for sanding and finishing.
Any thoughts?
