So I have had 2 lights(oven vent hood fan/light and a motion light on porch) for about a year that will randomly quick working. Not while in use just worked one day and won't the next. Here's the weird part... the breaker doesn't blow or atleast doesn't look blown but if I flip the breaker the stuff will work again.. As far as I can tell these are the only 2 things on this circuit. I have removed one of the pieces at a time and tried to use it to see if it helps and the same out come no matter what is hooked up or what isn't. So my question is any ideas what It could be or what test i could do?? It's getting annoying lol thanks guys

Motion detectors go bad.
If the breaker is tripping, but isn’t readily apparent it has tripped, I’d start with replacing the breaker.

Is it just me or does it seem really odd that the circuit has a range hood and an outdoor porch light on it? Anyway....
The breaker isn't a GFI breaker, is it?
Are either of the lights fluorescent or CFL?
Any dimmers or controls other than the sensor?
Whenever I'm ghost hunting, I start with neutral wires. Seems like they always come loose. Check your connections. Shared neutrals (with other circuits) can also cause issues. Next check ground connections, especially if you have ballasts in these lights.
Next, try known good lamps in these lights and try the current lights in known good circuits, just to eliminate any doubt.
If I was betting, I'd be looking at the motion sensor or a ballast overheating.

That's how mine is wired also. Range hood, hall light and porch light are all the same circuit.
