Lights on the garage door

I'm thinking about putting a light(s) on the big door at about knee height. The light would illuminate the area under the door when opened. Has anyone else seen the need for this and used a similar solution?

Haven't quite figured out why. Doesn't the garage light illuminate that area?

Good idea - if you need light for the minute the door is up - or if you keep the door up in warm weather and need light for your work!
