Lights over garage door.

I finished hanging the ceiling in my new small shop. The clearance between the ceiling and the overhead garage door, with the door in the up - retracted position, is 2 inches. Not enough space to hang the 4' LED fixtures I bought. Clearly didn't think that through!
Rather than redoing the ceiling I have 2 square LED fixtures I was planning to use in the house garage. They are surface mounts and less than 2 inches thick. But here's my quandry - they'll need to be adapted to zip cord to plug into the LED daisey chain. What's a good source for odd electrical connectors ( these must be Asian or European lights)?

Zip cord is not a recognized wiring method. Looking at the instructions in the photo makes me think that these fixtures are not made to our standards in this country since it is not made to be mounted to a ceiling box but is made to be attached to the ceiling. If there are no labels indicating listing by a nationally recognized testing lab (such as UL, ETL,or factory mutual) I'd recommend returning them.

Try adding an additional fixture or two so you can change the spacing to avoid having a fixture above the door.

Not exactly sure what you mean. If you have linkable strip fixtures with cords connecting them, you might find that adding in a different type of fixture might not work out so well.
Often, those strip fixtures will have a limit of how many you can link together. The limit is not just based on power. It's based on the limits of the components inside those strips.
Maybe you'll get lucky and it will work out fine, but you should try it first to be sure.
