I don't have one but everything I have heard is they are great. I know they come dry and larger sizes tend to be kinda of heavy is my understanding. Plus for the price... Only ratchet I don't have.
it gives allot of leverage for a 1/4 drive being longer, and it is not to bad with having 45t. I have used it, and it is a fine ratchet. And the selector on the ones I used were nice with a firm feel and never had an auto reverse.
It's a nice stout ratchet. The 45 tooth action is crisp and an excellent choice between a clunky 30 tooth ratchet and the overkill 80 tooth plus ratchets.
I like mine and wish Proto would make flex head versions.
Used, I'd pay $7-$10 depending on degree of used.
I paid $26 for a new one at Grainger (with a company discount), I like it. The head is much thinner than a Craftsman 1/4" drive, great for pulling steps out of Montgomery escalators.
Awesome ratchets, I've got the 3/8'' and 1/2'' sized ratchets and they are great. Nice full polish finish, feels good in the hand and ratchets real smooth. Proto makes some of my favorite ratchets.
