Right in this lable
Tig 100% @ 100 amps
stick 100% @100 amp
Mig/flux core 100% @ 110 amps

I stand corrected:thumbup:

Thanks thumper I didn't understand the chart at first

So it appears the TIG has more amps than MIG. Pretty good for 120v. If I am patient with even less duty cycle might be able to push 150 amps or so and get close to welding 1/4" thick plates.

The Miller Multimatic 200 is a better comparison. I've had a Multimatic about three years and love it. I mig aluminum with my spool gun and steel on the internal wire feed. Tig steel and stainless equally smooth with it. All with good results in a hobbyist art/hot rod studio environment. It does ok on 115v but does better on 230v.

Here's some discussion comparing the 210mp and the Multimatic.

That welder is almost double the price. And at that price range, I'd buy something different over the MM200 any day. That machine is WAY past it's prime.

The duty cycle and lack of power is going to force miller to deal with the powermig 210 and Esab rebel and come out with something new.

Lord couldn't agree more. My Maxstar I only paid $400 for it. And those deals always appear. I wouldn't wanna pay more for a machine that handles less of a load. The reason being is Inverters just don't take the abuse like a Ranger would. So if I'm going to buy a "fragile " machine I wanna know it can handle the amps I run around.

After reviewing a lot of videos I decided to get one. It's really last years price before they raised it.
For the price it is incredible. You can set things like slow start of a MIG wire. The interface is easy to use.

I only have a tab select unit now and you can always compensate with wire speed and travel speed. However this has infinite control over power and wire speed so I can weld at the correct pace.

I would love to try some stick welding too.

I called around hoping to get a good price on a package deal. New welder and a 125 cf bottle. No deals beyond the Lincoln price. Just wishful thinking I guess.

Exactly what I found. Looks like the best deal would be ordering online from an out of state retailer so you can avoid sales tax.

I am wondering if anyone knows a website that would offer a coupon code? Like a 10% off, or $20 off $100 or the such?

There is $15 off from welding IOC. Not a huge discount, lol
But they are Legit and seem to have great customer service. Shipped after 2 hours.

15 is better than nothing. At least put it towards your first gas fill.

Haven't played with it TOO much, but so far it's pretty awesome. I'm coming from a millermatic 175, and the overall build quality of the Lincoln, specifically the wire feed unit, is just drop dead gorgeous. This thing is super smooth, the adjustable run in wms is pretty cool and definitely a nice bonus. As is the inductance adjustment to fine tune the bead with the wire you're running. Overall, im very happy with my purchase so far. However, I'm not sure I'm sold on the auto set feature just yet, it seems nice and is fully adjustable, but it's definitely weird and awkward coming from the old setup... Maybe time will fix my personal opinion on it though..... And when I figure out/memorize the voltages and wire speeds for the thickness I'm welding like I did with the Miller

do you have any wobble with the drive unit? Search you tube for example of it

BTW, The new inverted 211 is suffering with the feeder oscillation as well.

That has been corrected with the new machines. It was problematic back in 2014.

Well some guy on forums is still finding this late last year
The problem seems to be a plastic bushing that clips inside the gear that makes the gear drive spin out of round.

Looking to get into TIG and this would be an awesome easy upgrade. But why can you not TIG aluminum with this machine? I dont have a big need to TIG aluminum but I thought my Hobart 140 would be the last machine I would buy too so...

TIG is DC only with the 210. You need AC for aluminum.

Ah, that makes sense, except that why make such a universal machine that isnt universal?? haha :lol_hitti:beer:

The only reasons I can come up with, is that it will take a bite out of their other machines in the market place.

Their squarewave 200 TIG is brand new and kicking some serious ****.

I am thinking of getting the TIG parts soon.

Still have to get a new bottle of argon, gas lens and tungsten so looking at a pretty big start up cost in addition to the TIG kit.

But there is not anything that is waiting to be TIG welded it would just be for fun and learning.

Whelp.......I just ordered one.

Should be here sometime within the next week and a half.

I've never welded before, but I've got a shop, a lift, and quite a few things I'd like to build. Now seems like a good time.

I'll be able to learn all three processes with this machine. Might take a while to purchase all the extra items needed for MIG and TIG though. If I find I need a more powerful welder later on I can always upgrade. Considering this'll be my first welder though, I think it's a heckuva deal.

Now I wish I had jumped on that plasma cutter deal from last year.

Ordered mine Friday. I can essentially say it's my first welder, having only had a 90 amp HF 110 volt machine. I know it won't make someone a better welder, but the consensus seems to be that this'll be a great machine for learning and will have an easy learning curve. I can hardly wait. Have fun with it.

Ordered one about a week ago and got it in just 4 days. I'm also a first time welder but I've always wanted to be able to weld. Seems this unit is an over all good unit but it took me over a year to decide on what to get! I was all for the Miller 211 when it had the rebate last year and for a little while had the free spool gun. Maybe I should've went with that, but I always thought I would like a stick and maybe someday a tig. The 211 was going to be about the same as the 210mp but it was only a mig. Hopefully I made the right decision! Ill never buy another welder I imagine, hopefully it lasts. $1000 is a lot for me to spend on something Ill hardly use.

Man, you are killing me. I might have to bite the bullet and get this one.

Mind telling us what your lineup is there?

Left to right The 210 MP, an SP135T mig, Hypertherm PowerMax 30 Dual voltage plasma cutter, HTP 221 Invertig Dual voltage Tig welder, HTP Arctic Chill DV water cooler for the 221 Tig. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

It arrived today, people at home heard UPS dropped it fairly loudly.
But it seems to be undamaged since it is riding on foam.

I quickly set it up for smaller wire. There is zero diagram anywhere how to change out rollers. The manual is a shame and worse ever.

I am happy to report I don't see any wobble on mine. I am running C25 .023 wire, it lays a bead beautifully, I just kneeled on the driveway with short sleeves in the in wind. I have not welded for about 10 years but I just wanted to hear and see the arc. And it is SMOOTH.

The only weird thing is either my Garage Wifi bridge or Ethernet over powerline goes offline consistently when I turn the machine on. Probably a inverter thing making too much noise, I am not even on the same circuit. I plug into a 20A dedicated circuit meant for a central vac.

If you are thinking about this one, just buy it.

Well, there is always someone that posts a comment like that.

To answer your question, yes; however, the comments from the new owners is very limited, i.e., "it lays a bead beautifully".

Maybe I should have said: anymore feedback on the 210MP?

Oh, and efore you ask, I watched YouTube videos and researched other forums as well. I see you purchased one and didn't post any review, unless I overlooked it.

I've had mine a couple weeks now and love it. To qualify, it's essentially my first "real" welder, but my first bead looked far better than anything I've done on the HF machines I've had. I definitely have the wobble in the wire drive that's been mentioned. I don't know if it's something I need to address with Lincoln or the LWS or not. Plenty of people have reported trying to get the issue resolved without getting a permanent fix, and it doesn't seem to affect the output.
In hindsight, I'd have skipped the spool gun. You don't save much, and it sounds like for many this is a first welder, personally I'll be working with steel for a while until I become proficient at it, then I'll get 100% argon and bust out the gun down the road. The extra $200 could've gone to consumables or stock.
For those for whom this is a first mig machine, don't forget to set your gas regulator. I did, and was wasting gas for the first couple of days.
I wish I could give more helpful feedback for those considering this machine, but any evaluation I could make would be like a cave man reviewing modern appliances. Suffice it to say, it was a big bite to take, and I don't regret it at all.
