I'm considering upgrading my TIG welder from a Lincoln SQ wave 175 to the new TIG 200.

The specifications look much better, but one thing they don't mention on Lincoln sight is weather or not the TIG 200 is high frequency start or scratch start. I believe since they don't mention it that it is a scratch start. Can anyone confirm.

I'm also unsure about this new technology at such a low price. Is the TIG 200 some kind of Chinese junk or would it really be a no brain upgrade.

Anyone use the both of them?

Are there any issues using scratch start on AL as this would most likely be used for AL only.

Its HF start.

Made in Mexico with supposedly the same or very similar inverter to the 210MP mig machine.

Any other feedback on this.
