It's back- for everyone that missed the Garage-Pak deal this is about as good as it's going to get- at least for the 210MP.

Still kicking myself for not jumping on the garage pak deal back in 2016.

I was too hung up on the fact that the new models were no longer made in USA and ended up with a Miller Multimatic 200, which I do teally like. I'd keep it as a portable unit and have the two lincolns on a cart if that deal ever came back.

Thanks for posting this.

It does make me curious what they have up their sleeve for Fabtech. I want to buy one of these things so bad though. It would be the perfect machine for me.

Looks like Baker's Gas will give an instant $20 off as well with code MIG210

https://www.bakersgas.com/LINK3963-1.html#23968

I'd still recommend going to your local welding supply and starting a relationship because you can't weld without consumables, gas, wire, and PPE. I wish I would have bought my MillerMatic 211 at the local shop just to have a better relationship. Price isn't everything, service is worth a lot!

I'm interested in getting this with the TIG package and want to get good at welding aluminum. Is this a good option for me or would I be better off with a dedicated TIG welder. Also is there a water cooled expansion I can get for this down the road?

I was looking at going this route and decided it’s better to go with a mig and a seperate tig. If you think you want to tig more just buy a tig and you’ll get the stick welder with it. I don’t think the mp is the way to go.

This welder will not Tig weld Aluminum, only Mig with the spool gun. It is a DC only Tig which is for Steel. I have one, its a great welder.

Combine these posts and you have your answer. If Aluminum TIG is what you're looking for there's two options. #1 Separate machines. The 210MP is a great welder for portability and versatility on steel and stainless. Then buy an AC/DC TIG that fits your needs. #2 Wait for a few months. Miller and ESAB both have AC/DC TIG,MIG, Stick machines coming. Who knows, maybe Lincoln has something up their sleeve.

When I bought my everlast mig I believe that we’re releasing a mp capable of that. Was gonna be around $2900 cad . Basically the same price as if I were to buy my mig and then buy a 200 amp tig. But the bonuses is maintain portability and less complex machines.

Is this “too much” welder for an absolute newbie? I’m thinking of getting into welding for project stuff around the house and other than watching a bunch of videos have absolutely zero skill.

I'd highly recommend a night course at a local community college, get to try out different materials, welders, and styles then learn more in-depth by YouTube videos on specific topics/tasks. Many of the community college courses will allow "shop time" to play around outside class time.

Invest in a very high quality mask, never cheap out there. Your eyes are worth the expense. Look for the 3M Speedglas 9100 (https://camelcamelcamel.com/3M-Speedglas-Welding-06-0100-30iSW-Auto-Darkening/product/B015QLZPCU) like the one I grabbed when it dipped to $288!

At this price it's a great welder for a newbie. Great resale if you don't get into welding and great potential if you do.

Thanks for the info everyone. I will pass on this offer and wait until a deal (hopefully) comes up on a dedicated TIG machine

FYI, the other popular welders are on rebate too and pretty close to the $999 price point, check out:
esab rebel 215
miller 211

FWIW, ready to buy one myself but these rebates make the decision difficult, IMHO
(bakers gas shows the rebates by co)

ebay is running 10% ebay bucks for the next couple days so this welder comes out to $899 after rebate fwiw. There is also 2% cashback from ebates so final cost would be closer to $875.

I'm not familiar with ebay bucks but wouldn't it be 143.20 in ebay bucks? The price on ebay is $1432.00. Also will Lincoln honor the rebate on one purchased on ebay?

As long as its from a Lincoln dealer like this one you'll be fine.

Ebay bucks tops out at $100. If you aren't familiar with it its reimbursement like a gift card for future ebay purchases, not cash in your pocket. I buy on there all the time myself.

Just as an additional datapoint, I called Lincoln today to confirm that buying through the eBay seller referenced here (and applying the 15% off coupon currently running on EBay up to $100) would not impact the rebate. The person that answered their promotions line confirmed it would be fine. $899 with no tax and shipping seems like a pretty good deal!

I just snagged one using the coupon. It was $100 off plus another $14.32 in ebay bucks.

I'm new to welding but don't mind way "overbuying" a welder initially and then learning up to the capabilities of the welder. I typically save up to buy the best tools with the most options and keep something for close to forever instead of doing the trade in, trade up deal. Cost isn't an issue as long as its a value. With that being said, is this a good welder to have period or best to buy a welder that has a ton of options, etc.

Also, are there any concerns with the overseas country of origin?

I would weld steel, no aluminum.
Besides MIG and stick, I will also want to learn TIG.
I dont mind buying separate machines for each welding purpose.

Your thoughts?

It’s a great homeowner machine for me. I knocked it when I first got it but it was operator error. I learned to weld with this machine ; the digital display made it really easy. I don’t have a huge shop so I was interested in the multiprocess instead of having several machines taking up limited space. I’d buy again.

its not a real ebay bucks offer, they limited it only to very specific items/sellers. Kind of lame of ebay.

Just finally got around to submitting the rebate form. I went the ebay route and wasnt sure whether to use the ebay item# or the paypal transaction# as the invoice number. I tried ebay item# and was a bit unnerved when I got an error message that the number had already been used :wtf:
So I used the paypal# and it went through. Cant wait to see how this goes.....
