Question for you hvac pros. The minisplit I am installing allows for 74.8 feet of lineset without adding refrigerant. When calculating my lineset length is it from flare to flare or do I include the 18 inches or so at each one of the 3 air handlers?
If you are that close I am pretty certain the last 18" are not going to kill the deal! I wouldn't worry about it.
Are your three runs all running to the max allowed? Usually you will have one that is very close, one a bit farther, and maybe one close to the limit so you never get to the max on all three heads.
I have installed mini splits in hospitals where the max allowable run was something like 150 feet and we were well over 200 feet and they still appeared to work fine.
It isn't like they will run fine and 74.8 feet and at 74.9 feet they quit working.
