I forgot about this thread and my tech just left, was going to show him the perfect part. We wont need it for a couple weeks yet and I may get 2 of them if I find a deal. He built some non spark heating element for my steamer truck box that has water on for fire truck.
Its kind of crude and I close and drain but its got 2 small engines in it with fuel in the tanks, we have any electrical contacts outside the box.
It was a mild winter and I added 100 watt lamp to the original heater I think may have been 300 watts, he fix it to 500 now that we have a grip compared to actual degree days etc. I put an electronic thermometer with remote in as I couldn't find a fuggin simple one anymore but with 500 gallons of water and someone walking by it on occasion to make sure its working all is well.
Its in the insulated truck box and I keep it in my storage which is cold. Didn't use it a single time last winder and its worth the 15$ a month in heat to have it out of the way, if I was working with it would pull in to heated shop at night but I don't want to work around it all winter to keep it warm. 45 degrees is ok, if I was really anticipating work would warm it up a little.
I have maybe 60 ft of 1 1/2 hose from the orange pump hooked up. I used it to wash dirt from a big stump we dug up. Maybe 8 minutes or so to unload 500 gallons. Will shoot a stream on top of a 2 story house. Maybe as far as 75 ft. I can hook a 3/4 garden hose to it, pathetic in delivery compared to the big hose,,, like putting a 3/4 air gun on a 1/4 hose
