1. Blackhawk. The text is
40199 BLACKHAWK 2 MADE IN USA 9/16
US PATS 927844 RE 19287

2. Duro Chrome. The text is
1618XX -DURO- 9/16V8
CHROME
Note that it is 12 point.

3. Wright. The text is
WRIGHT FT21 9/16
BARBERTON-O-USA --56--
NOT GUARANTEED

Outlaw's line up shows the Herbrand version.

Nose diameter is close to 3/4"

The Proto version is #6523

Here's my Blackhawk 7/16" drive socket. I knew this was a specialty socket, but didn't really know its application until I found it along with another in a 1941 catalog.

Interesting to see Blackhawk 40199 in both 6 pt and 12pt versions.

Not really that suprising. :rolleyes: Blackhawk often used the same tool number for various pieces even though the design/style changed over time.

hmmm you mean they actually make sockets for this....figured everyone just walked over to their bench grinder with a victim socket like I do....lol
