Linear Actuators

I have a proof of concept project that I am working on and am in need of a 12VDC powered linear actuator capable of lifting 5~600Lbs approximately 3feet or so, and is somewhat weather proof. Do these exist? If so you guys have any recommendations for them?

Sounds like what are used to lift handicap scooter platforms vertically on the back of a van/truck/car

Yes, a similar but totally different usage. I’ve never looked into the handicap scooter lifts. So not sure who the OEM is for the lifting mechanism.

electric hydraulic cylinder is the search term to try. These are used a lot on small garden tractors for the blade and I have one on my UTV for the dump bed.

Do you need hydraulic drive or screw drive?
If hydraulic can it be a separate pump and cylinder?
There are a few options for these actuators that you have not specified so it's hard to get specific.

Electronic screw drive I’m guessing would be best but hydraulic could work as well. Trying to keep it as simple as possible.

Good luck, 600Lbs at 12 VDC is going to be rather tough.

Expected load is 300lbs but would like it to be over spect for a safety factor.

Boat trailer tongue jack should do it. They have RV jacks as well that are similar.

The stroke length is going to the pricy issue, here is a 24" 500 pound cylinder.

I think the 3' you're looking for will be a problem, unless you go electro hydraulic.
