Liners.

Wondering what you guys prefer for drawer liners. Just picked up a Mac mb1700 for 500 dollars needs some work but I will get to that when time permits.

Side note if anyone has a hutch or top box for it I am more than interested!

I've used some different liners over the years. Currently, I have some black automotive carpet in my drawers. I believe it'llbe in there a long time as I used some spray adhesive to hold it down.

This topic is covered a lot but this is a tool site so who cares!!

Anyways currently in my snap on box I use the factory krl liner. This stuff is awesome and I never seen anything as good. I seen some material made that was close but snap on has some type of magic rubber machine that makes this stuff.

Anyways in older boxes I had like my hf 56" I used to have I always had good luck with carpet stair runner from lowes. It's cheap and lays down nicely.
I never cared for the cheese grader rubber looking mat that u can get sears or in any kitchen drawer aisle in walmart..target etc. that stuff just always bunched up/tore for me

I used the raptor grab when I started filling up the rousseau box. Have no complaints, keeps nearly everything where it began but I rarely slam drawers anymore. Occasionally yes, but not often.
Bang for the buck, I'm happy and still have enough left for a refill on several drawers when needed.

I use the Anti-Fatigue matting in my toolbox as a liner, I intend to cut the tools out when I decide where everything is going(I just got 2 new toolboxes) then I want to plasticoat the inside of the drawers to have either red or blue backgrounds depending on metric or standard tools. Maybe even another color for testing equipment.

I just put the Raptor Grab stuff in my dad's old KR. It was a little annoying to get it squared up in the drawer because it sticks so well, but once you get the hang of it, it isn't too bad. It definitely stays put. There's no way it will ever bunch up in the drawer. Tools stay put as well. I'd recommend it. I got it from a guy on ebay who sells all sorts of drawer liners.

I haven't had much luck with regular drawer liner, but I've never bought 'good' stuff. As a tool maker, my tool box is full of HEAVY stuff- much heavier than hand tools. The drawer liner always moves and bunches up. I use indoor/outdoor carpet, the kind that has little ridges running lengthwise. I put it so the ridges run side-to-side, so things don't move front to back as easily. It's held up for many years.

Yup, me too.

It has a rubber backing which makes it just stiff enough so if you cut it to fit the drawer it won't move around.

Quiets the drawer, too.

the toughest toughest stuff I found is 1/8 vinyl v type floor runner. You can buy it buy the foot from a lot of places or order from McMaster Carr.

Workout equipment mat has served me well Yoga mats are good too but usually odd colors .

Yoga mats. Seems like Menards has them on sale a lot and they usually have gray. Pretty durable and they lie flat.

Home depot has it on roll (black) believe $2.50/lineal ft (1 x 3 ft)

I have some Sparks conveyor belting in mine. Its what they use to lag some of the rollers in the conveyor system. It works amazing. It has little fingers on it that are really grippy so the tools don't move at all.

Unfortunately, I don't know where y'all can find it. I get it from my buddy's machine shop where he makes rollers for the conveyor company.

I also used it to line my lathe tailstock tray.

If you can find something similar, it works awesome.

Çork works well for most applications and I'll agree on the yoga mat.

I use the rubber mat from walmart that you use to line kitchen drawers. Works just fine for my purposes.
