Many of the photos are out of focus, and I especially think the ones of plastic wrapped cardboard side of a box are truly helpful!

I'll pass........:)

if you ever aspired to be one of those people on ebay who is selling 45 husky 3/16" 12 point deep sockets one at a time, i bet this is one of the places you buy them.

from my limited interactions with them, some really seem happy, and some are in desperate need of an attitude transplant.

just interacted with one guy who had a "room full" of unopened boxes of stuff to sell.

I've seen a few sites like this before. They are great if you are in the same area as the stuff is. If not, you are going to spend a fortune in shipping. There is a guy near me that buys stuff like this all the time, but then he buys enough to fill an entire tractor trailer, then gets everything shipped to him. He then has a store where he resells all the stuff. Most of it is either customer returned or shipping damaged stuff. I bought a big two box Husky rolling toolbox set from him 2 years ago. The bottom box had very minimal damage to it, and the upper box was perfect. Got them way cheaper than if I went to Home Depot and bought them.

It is another branch of the company that used to handle all the military vehicles. I have purchased from them before, sometimes it is government, other times it is private industry. As long as you preview things and have all your paperwork in order it is not a bad deal. It is an auction, so you need to look at all fees and loading times, they can make things difficult sometimes.

If you look at the bottom of the main page, they have other sites listed, 2 were government sites.

Nice. In for 100 of these.

With an endorsement like this, how could you NOT buy them.

I also posted this info on the Metal Working is Fun forum. So far there's only been one response and that was by the forum administrator, Vinny. He had a very negative interaction with the people who run the Liquidation site.

His post follows: "I *USED TO* buy from there but stopped. If you get something that wasn't as described, you have to jump thru hoops to return it. One thing I won the seller didn't think he got enough for it so he didn''t ship it, but told me he did (and that was Stanley, the tool people). There's also alot of shill bidding going on."

So I guess it's "let the buyer beware".

Volume buyers of Home Depot returns are paying pennies on the dollar, not 50% of retail. The returns are likely to be in very poor condition. Local store had 100+ EGO tools returned to HD. I went through the boxes and half of them were missing the battery, charger, or even the tool itself! I bought three different EGO items after combining parts from different boxes.

This store sells Home Depot returns for about 50% of retail. They have a 50% off sale a few times a year and I bet they still make money.

Yes, this is part of GROUP of auction sites . . . .
. . . . in fact, your Login for GovLiquidation works the same on Liquidation.com

The scary part of this website as default is for THEM to ship at pallet rates, which are astronomical.

Do NOT get in hurry and click through the payment process.

Best deals are LOCAL warehouses where you can go inspect, even before bidding. Also, you WILL want to PICK UP yourself within 7 days of auction.

Slight benefit of this site is lower Buyer's Premium as most GovLiq are in the 12% to 18% range, while Liquidation site is 5% to 8%.
