Was at Sears earlier getting a screwdriver warrantied, and saw the Lisle torx set on sale for about 60% off. The tag said "lowest price ever." The set goes from T10 to I believe T60. I am on my phone or else I'd post a picture or a link.

This. They might be worth $16 if you don't use torx often. MAYBE.
edit: never ever use with a pnuematic impact or powerful cordless impact.

I'd stay away from Lisle as well. had a T55 1/2" drive socket used a couple time to change front brakes say 5-6 years ago. Recently used it and rounded off the bit. Got another one, broke it on the first use using a 1/2" ratchet. Got a different brand and it worked fine. So much for Lisle being made in the USA.

I had some of the Lisle bits. They worked fine for me. But they did start getting surface rust after a few years. I keep all my tools inside and clean and dry. These are the only tools I think I every had that started rusting. But they still work fine, but now I have to wipe them down with WD-40 every once and a while to keep the rust at bay.

They are OK for low torque, light duty stuff. Most of us use them for automotive use, thus the poor reviews.

Lisle will give you new ones forever, but at some point your time exchanging them is more costly than buying a quality set in the first place.
I've had good experiences w most Lisle tools, but these seem to be built from nothing but mild steel, if that. I have to agree that HF is better. I have a HF set and it's noticeably more rigid. altho nowhere near as comprehensive in sizing.

as others have said, these are garbage. I went through two sets in a short time frame, and they have ruined countless hardware. Never again
Agreed. Killed 2 different (bigger) sizes while working on my Jeep.

Normally I really like Lisle tools for what you get for the money spent and most of them are normally made in the USA. I will say though I agree with everyone else this is the biggest POS set ever!!!! I broke one of them the very first time I used it trying to take out a seat belt and I was hardly putting any pressure on it. I went on to break two more trying to take some fenders and bumpers off of a Cherokee. I was given a HF gift certificate and bought their Torx set and have not had a problem with them.

I normally like Lisle tools. They're pretty much all made in the USA. The one piece Torx bits are the exception, since they aren't very good.
Lisle has a more expensive two-piece Torx set that's also made in the USA. I own one of these sets and I've been happy with them, considering that they're still pretty inexpensive for USA made bits.

I must be the odd man out here. I've had this set for 7-8 years and have had nothing but success using it. No stripped hardware. Just a little surface rust as mentioned above.

I had no idea Lisle made these, thank you! I agree they're affordable.
I disagree that people shouldn't voice their real-world experiences with any of the sets, even if the experiences are all the same. If just one or two people say they ****, it's easily dismissed as disgruntled or over-reactionary individuals (on the internet, WHAT???). But the more people who speak up, the more credibility. We're only here to help others with their purchases. And Lisle should either discontinue or improve the one-piece sets.

At first I was surprised by the bad reviews because mine have worked well. Then I remembered my set was by Vermont American, not Lisle.
It has the same one-piece design with the generous radius (Caroll Smith would probably have approved). I'd like to see more socket drivers made that way.
