Holy ****!!!

I would be willing to take a couple of those off your hands, mainly because you simply have too damn many.

I thought you guys would enjoy!

Only 202 drawers and 13 cabinets. I am also getting 13 stainless top cabinets that have sliding doors with two shelves. Unfortunately I have to wait another few weeks for those.

13 is too many? I think the only questions you answered are 1) your garage is now too small and 2) it's really not efficient with those Listas sitting in the center of the bay.

Have you considered a second floor? Or expanding the shop?
Looks like you don't have much choice, it has to be one or the other.
Can't use the cabinets if you can't open the drawers..... :dunno:

Yes, I'll probably feel very jealous.....when I finally get over the shock and awe of seeing that many Lista cabinets in one place....in one guy's shop....brain overloaded..........

Yeah, I had envisioned them fitting in a bit better, I beat the rain by about 5 minutes! I will post the entire backstory when I have some extra time, it has been in the making since last September. :willy_nil

So, Mr. Strouty meets a chick and wants to impress her, so he says "I've got a really large shop." She says "Really? How many Lista cabinets do you have?"

I would like to thank you. I have 5 Lista/Vidmar cabinets and felt guilty about wanting another. Now I don't feel guilty.........

So my plan is to buy more storage wall uprights to make a huge stockroom. I am just adding a few drawers for now to see what works. I need to be on a step ladder to see in the top two drawers, but they are for deep storage anyways.

The story is better than that. This has been an 8 month saga for some of us who've been watching. To finally actually see it happen is somewhat cathartic.

Now we'll be waiting with bated breath to see how it all gets organized.

I have been looking for a couple. I was wondering where all of them went. At least I can rest easy now knowing you have all of them...........

You can never have too many until you're in your mid-50's and you have to move them. I'm in my mid-60's and the ones I have are staying with the house when we sell.

Enjoy them and use their partitions and dividers to get the most out of them.

As for the backstory, September 2016 my Snap On driver was trying to sell the local Mercedes dealership all new workstations. He knew I had some lista boxes and asked me if I would like to buy the old ones, once I saw the pictures I was in. I made an offer, the offer was accepted, but then the Lista salesman got involved and we thought the deal was a goner. After a few more adjustments and pencil sharpening, both my Snap On driver and I were happy. It took forever to actually get the deal signed, so I was in limbo for way to long. At least things are moving forward now, still waiting on Snap On to deliver the benches, then I get the other cabinets. The dealership keeps adding more things to the list of stuff I can take, so now I may end up with some oddball cabinets and a few vises that were mounted to the benches. In the end, I am not sure how to say what I bought these for, I place little to no value on the sliding door cabinets, but if I cost average everything it ends up being a bit less than $150 per cabinet. If I don't count the sliding door cabinets at all, I paid $300 each for the 13 good cabinets. Either way, I am feeling good about the numbers, I also feel like this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.

Holy **** was my first impression also.

Best get your kids cleaning and greasing those( approx.) 2500 bearings/rollers.
I am at 9 Vidmar cabinets, thought I had enough, guess not. Now I will not worry about getting more.

Yeah, that's a "you ****" deal. I'm glad you had the money to be able to buy the whole deal. I'm pretty psyched to see you get them set up.

Lista salesman got involved in you buying used listas from the car dealership? Huh?

What line of work are you in?
