Good morning everyone,
I thought I'd start a thread dedicated to the tradeshows we go to. This way, even though you might not be able to make it, you'll still see where we go and what we do.

I'm starting off with NADA out in Vegas which starts up this Saturday and runs through Feb. 6.

Here is our booth, 2942, at set up. You'll also see a photo of a Mopar wrapped toolbox which we have in the Chrysler booth.
Enjoy and happy Friday! :)

Nice to meet you! Let me throw that question back to our automotive vertical manager and I'll get back to you on the price. Our retail is more than likely going to be different than if you were buying from Mopar corp so the price I give you will be the Lista price.
For any other similar toolbox info you can check out all of the dimensions, weights and prices here: http://listabox.com/model-900/double-bank/config.php

Any chance you guys are going to be at SEMA this year? I know their tool area isn't huge (compared to the rest of the show) but it would be cool to check your booth out in person.

HI there, we do hope to be at SEMA this year. I'll be able to confirm for sure later on in the year. Did you stop by our booth at last year's SEMA show?

The mini service bay looks great. To save you some trouble, after the show you can just ship it to me. I'll be sure and show it off to everyone I know to help you drum up more business.

Hi there, so it does look like you can buy direct from Mopar. All of the information is on this site: http://www.psedealerequipment.com/node/211038
The one in the photo above retails for $3980.

If you wanted a toolbox that is not wrapped I would suggest checking out the page I linked you to earlier on listabox.com which shows all of the double bank toolboxes.
I hope this helps!

I'm sorry you feel that way. That was not my intention at all. However, I won't post anymore photos from the show so as not to upset anyone.
My apologies again,
Linda

Screw him Linda. If he doesn't like it, he doesn't have to look. I think a lot of us are enjoying seeing the products and pictures from the show we aren't attending. I am rather put off that we saw GM and Chrysler but not Ford. :dunno:

Hi, thanks. The booth partnerships aren't guaranteed show to show so we are just happy to be able to partner up with someone and show what we can do for a service and parts department.

Linda, i'll just get this out of the way. I'm barely 19, but you know, I appreciate what you do here and how you go about your business. I love american businesses, especially those who manufacture their products here. Lista is a wonderful example of that. If you wanna post a few pictures here, go right ahead. As far as I see, you're a great rep for the company. Keep it up!

The tool boxes look great in those photos by the way. We have a few rows of them at the college I'm attending, and they're tough as nails! Huge steel blocks don't even affect the drawers one darn bit. I'm very impressed. If I ever gather the cash later on in life, you've got a customer right here, for sure.

I'm digging the posts and pictures. Part of what makes this sight so awesome is the wealth of ideas. Pictures are a great way to share them.

Hi there, I'm glad you've had a good exprience with the cabinets and drawers! I'd even like to see pictures of the one's you've got in your classroom just out of curiosity's sake and so others can see other applications of our products.

Go Patriots! :)

It would be blatant spam is all she was doing was post a single link to their Web site on where to buy it. Linda is showing us pictures of their products. Which is for garages. And last I checked, we're on a GARAGE FORUM.

Agreed!

Any chance we can get a sneak peek of the factory or assembly process?

FWIW I agree that nothing can be considered spam if the intention is to share with others. Sharing photos and insider perspective is not the same as a post where someone says "here's my ebay auction, do you guys think my price on this great-condition tool is too low."

Interesting query ;)
I've got something up my sleeve. I'll keep you posted to the status of this and hope to have an insiders view for you by April. No promises, but I'll be keeping you all in the loop on it.

Linda,
Just finished the order for two Lista cabinets. Thank you for your help as well as Cory on the west coast.
There was some frustration in finding a local distributor and website distributors that would actually reply as they said they would or at all.
Thanks again and I will try to take pictures when they arrive and in place.

Ooh, goodie!

Related, a TV show researcher reached out to me asking if I knew of any cool US factories for them to visit. I sent them a short list of factories I know I'd love to visit, with Lista towards the top. :rocker:

So maybe we'll get to see that insider view on TV if not in photos. I doubt they'll keep me in the loop though. I just hope they don't pass my suggestion to the producers as their own.

Anyhow, I see that a new mini technician box is rolling off the production line these days... nice!

HI there, we do hope to be at SEMA this year. I'll be able to confirm for sure later on in the year. Did you stop by our booth at last year's SEMA show?

Sorry for the delay on replying. I was not able to go to SEMA this past year :( I was there for 2010 though. I was representing a non-profit and our main area is off roading so I didn't get over to the tool area till the last day and at that point I was fairly brain fried.

Hoping to get out there for this year, my fiancé really wants to check out Vegas and she really really wants to check out SEMA. Hope to see you there!

Other than the crappy locking systems and lack of replacement parts Lista's are top notch.

I've bought a few of these used, (cheap) over the last few years. Most of which were surplus. The thing I don't understand is why Lista does not keep parts for the older ones in stock. I know the "it's too expensive argument", but you can still buy car parts for crappy cars made back in the 50's that are no longer in business. Why not 10 year old $3500 dollar Lista's?? Craftsman sells generic parts for their cabinets from way back like locks and slides.

If you look at all the Lista's on Ebay, CL, and gov auctions, they almost all have the locks drilled. They have plastic parts on the back of the drawers auto locking mechanism that when broken they lock the drawers so you cant get them open without the keys. To me, a really bad design. And you can't buy the parts to fix.

And these are 90's and early 2000's models I have. I called Lista on more than one occasion and they try to sell you the new locking system which is stupid expensive to buy. The replacement locks are expensive as hell too.

The new ones are extremely nice and probably worth the money, I'm just saying it's frustrating when someone tells you Lista is a quality product and you buy them only to find that you can't get replacement parts, the replacement locks are ten times higher than any other lock made and you have to figure out how to monkey some kind of lock on it because the locking mechanism is gone because someone had to drill the lock out then threw away the parts, and you can't buy them from the manufacturer. I think that is why there are a bunch for sale on eBay and other sites because the older ones are disposable, like cigarette lighters. Once they stop working you try to sell them to some unknowing dweeb for 300-400 bucks. All for a few plastic parts.
