This is only my interpretation for the supply of parts. There is more of a market for car parts. I would think that Craftsman, snap on, etc would have the same parts beliefs as Lista. I also believe the car manufactures have to supply replacements parts for certain amount of years.
If locks are the only thing I have to worry about then great. My concern of living up here is Lista support. Time will tell.

Linda, Any chance you guys will have a booth at the world ag expo in Tulare CA next week?

Good morning,
Unfortunatelly we will not be at that show. I believe the next outdoor equipment show we will be attending will be the GIE Expo in Louisville in October.
Sorry that we won't be able to attend. Let me know if you're looking for any kind of info...brochures, colors, other.

Other than the crappy locking systems and lack of replacement parts Lista's are top notch.

I've bought a few of these used, (cheap) over the last few years. Most of which were surplus. The thing I don't understand is why Lista does not keep parts for the older ones in stock. I know the "it's too expensive argument", but you can still buy car parts for crappy cars made back in the 50's that are no longer in business. Why not 10 year old $3500 dollar Lista's?? Craftsman sells generic parts for their cabinets from way back like locks and slides.
....

Good morning, I'm sorry for your frustations!
Form what I know, some of the older boxes are Swiss made and unfortunatelly if we received the parts from Switzerland, and they in turn changed a part and made something obsolete we don't have extras. I completely understand that this is a pain.
If you'd like to send over a photo of what part you are looking for I can triple check that we indeed do no have it.

Linda- Do you do any major car shows? Here in Minnesota, we have the biggest car show in the country-well over 11,000 1964 and older cars (think owners with expendable $$$) and over 125,000 spectators over 3 days. That's more than double SEMA's attendance. It's called Back to the '50s. Link to the site here: http://www.msra.com/Minnesota Street Rod Association.htm

Thansk for the tip Northstar. That will be something to think about for next year. We did do SEMA last year and believe that we will attend again this year.
Keep your suggestions coming as you guys are the eyes and ears of this market!

Hi Craig, are you referring to the one we had at the show?
Linda

Yup -- I searched the Lista web site for "mini service station" came up empty.

Craig, here is the response I received. I hope it helps!
"That mini service bay listed for about $11,500.
But this had a lift control box that most shops wouldn’t need it also has a 2 drawer tech cart and full cart garage.

So it would be safe that a list price on this without the lift control would be around 10K or less (list price) depending on the tech cart.
Also, the toolbox that is on this setup is very large being at 1050 combo which has about 15-20% more Cu in and Sq in of any of the top end franchisee (snap-on, etc) tool boxes.. this is a big box.

So they can get this full setup after a discount for about the same price as the franchise tool vans will sell for one high end double bank box."

Which model is the one in the center photo with the Lista sign on top?

Love your boxes!

Hi there, if it's the red one you are talking about, that is the 1050 Double Bank Series. Model number TSDW10C07-1503FL-FT. It's got 15 drawers, just a bit under 4 feet high and in terms of squares and cubes...11,030 sq in and 40,455 cu in.

Rob, are you looking for our color code, which would be BB, or a real color code? We think you should be able to get some touch up paint when contacting customer service but I'm waiting on a definitive answer.

Thanks to Joe at Motorhead Extraordinaire I have three Lista cabinets (2-SC900 9-drawer and 1-SC1350 12 drawer) on the way. Stainless steel top to cover the two SC900's. I am very happy.

I am looking for the real color code that a paint store could mix from.

All of the LISTA standard colors are available in spray cans or gallons from either LISTA directly or from a LISTA distributor like ourselves. The trick with matching the colors at a paint store is to get the correct gloss level. The LISTA powder coats are a satin finish.

There is no "published" paint formula or a RAL number for the standard paints. When we have had to match any of their specialty colors we have had our local auto paint shop shoot the panel with their color gun to get a proper match.

One thing to know about the finish on LISTA cabinets in their standard colors, is that the housings are powder coated while the drawer faces are painted.. If you are ordering a new LISTA cabinet, you can specify that the drawers are the same color inside as outside. In that case the entire drawer is powder coated. All specialty colors, including the new TS series toolboxes, have powder coated housings as well as drawers.

Hey Joe,

thanks for the info. I actually just got a cabinet from you recently, the double door slider dw900 to CT. That thing holds a ton. I am trying to touch up some stuff on my other cabinets and want to paint a wood base for my new to me Walker turner drill press to match. If its easier to get a qt from you just let me know how to order it up.

thanks,

rob

Hi Rob,

I'm glad you like the LISTA DW900 cabinet. I have one just like it in my shop that I mounted on top of a DW1350 with roll out trays. They are both stuffed to the gills with parts and supplies.

I'll drop you a private email about the paint.

Regards

I'm wondering if Lista has any products that would work as a hutch for the TS series boxes. I'm saving up right now to get either a 750 or 900 triple bay to replace my current setup at work. Is there an existing product that would work or is it something you guys might offer in the future? Either way I will be buying a Lista in the future.
I saw one of the Mopar wrapped boxes at the Dodge booth at the Chicago Auto Show (I think I was the only person eyeing up the box rather than the cars) and that thing was huge! Keep up the great work

There is no hutch cabinet in the LISTA product line. All of the LISTA cabinets are stackable; we do that quite often as we did at an Infinity dealership yesterday as shown in the black cabinet picture. The blue cabinets are ones we did for a customer locally. In both of these cases the base cabinets were tall but there is no reason you can't do that with lower height cabinets.

To effect a "hutch" arrangement, you can always stack a narrow depth (22-1/2") cabinet or overhead cabinets (15" deep), on top of a 28-1/2" deep TS series toolbox. The narrow depth cabinet housing heights start with the 300 series which is 15-3/4" high. You can specify the drawers you want as long as the total height does not exceed the 300 mm allowable drawer height, using a 300 series cabinet as an example. Using narrow depth cabinets on top of deep depth cabinets will give you a hutch-like arrangement.

Does this help yo answer your question?

Regards,
