Hi,

Wondering if anyone has had a similar problem.

I have two rechargeable lithium ion LED lights for work, about 8 weeks old.

This last week it's started getting cold here in Scotland hanging around 2-3 degree's c during the day.

One of the lights started acting funny, takes a full charge but would start to dim after about 10 seconds.

I brought it home to have a look at it about three days ago and it now seems to be working absolutely fine.

The only thing i can think of is the cold affecting it some how ?

For kicks I gathered my cordless tool batteries together one winter and set them on a heated seed starting/seedling tray. These are smallish plastic trays with a low powered heating element inside that are meant to aid germination of potted plants by warming the soil similar to having the sun shining on it. In a cold, below freezing garage there's not a lot of heat to be had, but it kept the packs gently warm and they seemed to have a lot more power than ones which weren't warmed. Covering the tray and batteries with a shop rag made them slightly warmer, but there is no real difference in power between covered and uncovered warmed packs. The trays draw maybe 20 watts at most, an can be found on Amazon for under 20 dollars.
